Emmaus, a village seven miles from Jerusalem,
Jesus joined two men walking but they weren’t able to recognize him
Mid their conversation He asked them "what is it you’re discussing?"
With sad face, one replied "Hey! You don't know what happened?"
Man of God, a prophet, dynamic in work and word was Jesus of Nazarene they said
But he was betrayed, sentenced to death, and crucified;
The One they hoped would deliver Israel
And it’s been three days; news that he was alive completely confused them
“Foolish! Slow-hearted! All those things had to happen", Jesus explained to them
Upon reaching the edge of the village, to their supper Jesus was invited
He took, blessed, broke the bread and gave it to them and their eyes were opened
Scriptures, Jesus pointed out everything in the Scriptures
Once opened up can put a man's heart on fire
