 Of course I can't pass the opportunity of making a onesie statement for my little girl.
I made this Newborn facts onesie using my Cricut.
I used black sharpie to fill the blanks.

Statement Onesie and Shirt DIY: Siblings

For big brother's gift to baby sister, I thought of a matching outfit for them.
I asked the little boy to write the words "Kuya" and "Bunso".

Using the Pinoy translations for Big Brother and youngest sibling is an homage to their Filipino roots.

Then I used it for our Cricut design.

I think they look good on them!

Father's Day DIY: M&M Card and Super Dad Chocolate Bag

 LO made this easy to make Father's Day Card.
We used some letter stamps, cardstock and an M&M peanut pack.

I made this one myself because LO was sick on Father's Day for Granpa and Uncles.

I downloaded this template, print and stick it to this baggie I got from DT and fill it with as many Kisses chocolates as you like.

Mother's Day DIY: Tulips Card

The LO made this tulip painting for Mother's Day card this year.
 You only need a fork, paint and cardstock.
Very simple and beautiful!

Easter DIY: Loot Bag and Easter Card

This year's Easter loot bag is very simple.

I got this yellow chevron printed baggies from DT.

The loot includes a mini felt bunny/chick craft,

a bunny/chick lip pops,

mini chocolate bar

and this tiny jelly eggs.

We used the LO's cross finger panting to make this Easter Card

we sent out to love ones. 

Graduation DIY

Little one made these cards for his Kuya C and Ate M’s kindergarten graduation.

We used construction paper, stamp and twines.

I cut the pieces and let the LO paste them on the cardstock.

He also traced the numbers and do the stamping.

Mother's Day DIY: Rose Card

The little boy and I made this for mother’s day this year.

We used foam sheets (instead of TP roll), sponge,

washable paint (a must when working with little ones) and newspaper.

Very easy and kids would love to do.

Happy with the finish product.

Easter DIY: Egg Hunting, Loot Bag and Easter Card

We celebrated Easter a bit different this year.

With the stay-at-home order our church send us materials for resurrection egg hunting.

I used this egg mallows carton I got from Menards to store all of them.

I did a little twick with the resurrection related stuff inside.

I used this free printables from Life Your Way.

This year the loot bag for the LO's cousins were simple.

I got this pastel plaid baggies from DT.

And T seal them with some spring stickers in his stash.

Inside the bags are Easter Bunny color-it-yourself puzzle, Animal Squishies, Big Plastic Egg with candies inside and Mini Kit-kat.

For T, I re-used this Giant Plastic Egg with couple of toys inside.

With all that's happening around the world, we thought sending some love via Easter Cards.

We found Staples have the best deal for printing greeting cards.

Trick or Treat DIY

Like a yearly tradition, I prepared these DIY Trick or Treat goodies

for the nieces, nephew and my boy.

This one is very simple, I used white paper bags, googly eyes and sharpie.

I wish I was able to draw the lips a little more scary.

Granparents Statement Onesie and Shirt

Oh my love for statement onesie! When I saw these “I love grandma and grandpa” onesie, I can't pass. I got them from Children’s Place for a very good deal.



These "Granpda loves me" shirts, I got from Old Navy for my niece and nephew.

Kid's Table and Chair Restoration

After looking for a decent set of table and chair for our boy’s room, I decided to do my first ever furniture restoration. I got a pre-love Ikea set online for $8, which I think is a pretty good deal.

I started by taking everything apart. Then I gave each piece a good wipe. Since one of the chair is missing the back support, I thought of replacing the plastic plank with some dowel rods. The 1/4” rod fit perfectly through the original holes. I used Elmer's Wood Filler in Natural to fill the gap on the top and drill holes matching the ones at the bottom. Then I started painting. My research told me to use chalk paint which doesn’t require a lot of prep work. It’s also forgiving, when you make mistakes just need to sand and repaint again. I originally thought of doing the chairs in espresso and the table in white but ended painting the whole thing in white. I used about 4 cans of Restoleum Chalked Ultra Matte Spray Paint in Linen White, which was sale in Home Depot at that time. I finished the project with Varathane Finishing Wax in Natural for extra protection. It took a week for this busy mom to finish everything but it was all worth it.

Easter DIY

This is more of assembly than DIY.

I love when I see wind-up toys from Dollar Tree.

No question, I want to get this bunny for my boy.

And then I saw this extra large plastic egg.

I used some blue and green gift tissue paper to decorate

and put it on a mini galvanize pale we got for his dedication.

First Birthday DIYs

Last month, this Mama's on DIY mode for the little one's first birthday.

I went bunting galore.
I used cardstocks I got from dollar tree and Michaels.
I used balloon ribbon in place of jute twines.
I used straws as poles for the cake topper miniature bunting.
It's a first for me to use Cricut machine for the letters.
It's also a first for me to make photo bunting.
I used monthly photos of the little ones.

A month before the big day we did a home photoshoot,

print the photos in black and white

and frame them with white inexpensive ones I got from Dollar Tree.

These were used as decoration for the desert table and doubled as favors too.

These momentos are my favorite, both I created using Photo Grid.
The left is a chalkboard with LOs first year milestones.
And the one on the right is a time capsule.
The metal box was recycled Bath and Body Works gift box.

The last one is this centerpiece.
I made the rosette fan from scratch.

And the rest were created using Cricut machine.

First Birthday Onesie

These are “My First Birthday” onesie from Carter's.

It comes in boy and girl colors, so I got one for my boy and his cousin.

Aren't they cute?

Souvenir Onesie

I love statement onesie as you can see here, here and here. We went for a trip out-of-state for my birthday last year, and I got these two cute souvenir onesies for my boy and his Ate Jasmine. The one on the left is from The Ark Encounter and the other from Creation Museum.

Child Dedication DIYs: Gray and White

For my boy's dedication, I DIY'd couple of things... centerpiece and bunting.

This centerpiece is very simple. Materials are inexpensive too. I used plastic cups to keep the flowers fresh since the bucket itself can't hold water. I used paper straws instead of dowel rods to attached photos I printed for free via Shutterfly. Checkout your local grocery store for flowers. I got mine for $12 for 3 bunches. Lastly I used table napkins as cheap alternative coasters that also add color to the look.

Materials: Galvanized Bucket, Plastic Cups, Paper Straws, Photos, Flowers (e.g. Baby's Breathe, Daisy), Table Napkins
Inspiration from Catch My Party

For the bunting, I used swallowtailed pattern for a more elegant look. I used darker shade outline for cut-out letters for the emboss effect. I got all materials from Michael's. They have large array of cardstocks, twines and other bunting materials.
